Our Story
In the midst of
one of the world’s most uncertain times, Simple Blends Coffee Cafe was born —
not from a grand plan, but from a simple desire to bring comfort to those who
needed it most.
It was the year
2020, and the COVID-19 pandemic had reshaped the world. Amid fear, isolation,
and lockdowns, we began with something humble yet heartfelt: bottled cold brew
coffee prepared at home, shared with frontliners, family, and friends. What
started as a small gesture of care quickly grew into a deeper calling.
Later, we opened
our first to-go kiosk along Carlos Tan Street in Ormoc, offering freshly brewed
hot and iced coffee to customers longing for small moments of joy in their day.
Soon after, we found a new opportunity within Gatchalian Medical Center—a space
where we could serve hospital workers, patients, and visitors with warmth and
energy in every cup.
As our journey
progressed, we faced the reality of closing our original kiosk, a difficult
decision that redirected our focus entirely to the Gatchalian branch. Armed
with faith, perseverance, and passion, we transferred our equipment, our team,
and our dreams—choosing not to give up, but to grow stronger. That choice would
define the heart of Simple Blends.
For almost five
years, we served from that small hospital corner, building relationships and
trust, one coffee at a time. In those years, we expanded into coffee catering,
proudly serving weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and community
gatherings. We joined exhibits and pop-ups, determined to share our coffee with
new communities and make Simple Blends a name worth remembering.
And now in 2025,
after years of dreaming and growing, we are proud to open our very first
dine-in cafe — a space built with love, community, and resilience at its core.
